Jinx / SAWIS Rollout
Return to Sender Is Out
Return to Sender is out now. Go listen to it.
That is the first track off Shit Ain't What It Seems, Anthony's posthumous album. Not the album. Just the first thing off it. The rest is coming on its own timeline and I am not rushing any of it.
He made this song. I mixed and mastered it at The Fields here in Lincoln. That is the whole production team. Two brothers, same as it always was, except one of us is not here anymore and that is something I am just going to have to keep figuring out how to say.
The first thing he asks on the record is whether he is alive or just a ghost. He does not answer it. He lets it sit there. If you know Anthony's music at all you know that is exactly what he would do. He was never interested in giving you the easy version of a question that does not have an easy answer. He made you sit in it with him.
The song is laid back. Cosmic. The kind of thing that sounds simple until you actually listen to it and realize it is not simple at all. That was Jinx. Always was.
Shit Ain't What It Seems starts here. This is the first transmission. There will be more.
And look, you already know what we have been telling you for years. Do not take anything at face value. Question what you think you know. The title of the album is not an accident and neither is the fact that we are rolling this out the way we are rolling it out.
Do not trust it.
Just like KFR told you to.
